Growing Like A Weed.

Puncturevine Weevil was started, literally, in a garage and was selling their product to friends and neighbors. In 2001 they started providing puncturevine weevils to orchards and vineyards battling puncturevine weed and goatheads. The weevils where so successful they wanted to start offering them to other agriculture and residential customers all over the country.

Ready For Your Close up?

They were ready to expand and came to us to help them design a corporate identity and several branding elements. As always, we started with a logo design and took it from there. They wanted a real gritty outdoors look to their logo and wanted a clipart design of the actual weevil bug. Since this isn’t a common bug, we got out the macro lens and took detail pictures of the weevil. These images made for great “product” photography for the e-commerce website. From these images we created a custom vector clip art image that was then used on a t-shirt and business card design.

Going Strong.

WJ still maintains and updates the seasonal e-commerce website. Providing analytics and SEO services to help the site grow even more in traffic. Since launching the site last season Puncturevine Weevil has already seen their return on marketing investment.
